A serious electoral accusation has emerged from Korçë, as Democratic Party (PD) parliamentary candidate Enton Çaçani claims that the Kolonjë Municipality administration is engaging in vote buying and voter intimidation just hours before the May 11 elections.

In a statement shared on social media, Çaçani alleged that municipal employees are distributing money to influence voters and are planning to illegally remove ballots from polling stations (QV) on election day.

“They’re planning to do it tomorrow as well, during the vote. That’s the plan. We know everything. This is information from inside their own circle,” Çaçani stated.

He issued an urgent appeal to SPAK’s Task Force and other institutions, urging immediate intervention to prevent what he calls “electoral crime happening in the field.”

This adds to a growing wave of accusations and tensions surrounding the May 11 general elections in Albania, where multiple districts have reported attempts to manipulate the voting process through cash handouts, pressure on voters, and abuse of public office.

The May 11, 2025 elections are unfolding amid serious accusations of vote buying, misuse of public institutions, and heightened tensions across several regions. Aktualitet.al is following every development in real time to bring the truth to the public.
