The video that sparked reactions
In footage published by Arvina Lleshi herself, the activist approaches the Socialist MP near the Parliament offices and addresses her with lines from a song used in protest.
Lleshi is heard saying: “Hello Zegjine. Have you heard that song: ‘Zegjine, Zegjine, we are 3 million! You don’t know how to count, go to school so you can learn!’”
The Socialist MP’s reaction
For her part, Zegjine Çaushi reacts by accusing the activist of undermining the image of women. In the video, the MP addresses Lleshi with the words: “You are a woman! A woman follows another woman from behind.”
Çaushi then adds: “You are a woman and you are lowering the image of a woman. Shame on you!”
Political accusations in the confrontation
The activist’s response immediately turns into a direct political accusation against the majority. Lleshi tells the MP: “Shame on you for joining a criminal government. Shame on you for not representing the interests of the people.”
As the clash continues, she also adds: “It is you who have lowered the image of women, because you are the worst representation of a people. Shame on you!”
