Intimate videos published online, in which composer Adrian Hila is also mentioned, have triggered an investigation involving several criminal offenses, but the material continues to circulate on the internet. This is precisely where the main question arises: what have the authorities actually achieved, beyond announcements of procedures and the taking of statements?

Adrian Hila case puts police under pressure: Intimate videos still online, 4 people under investigation

The police version so far

According to information made public on the program “Shqipëria Live,” Adrian Hila has not yet been officially questioned by police, although a request has been made for him to appear. Contact, up to this stage, is reported to have been unofficial, through Cybercrime officers.

According to this version, Hila has said he is willing to cooperate and has claimed that he is a victim in the case. He has also denied publishing the videos himself, while it is acknowledged that he was aware of the filming, but not of the distribution of the materials online.

Four people contacted, two in severe condition

As the investigation continues, police have contacted four people shown in the videos. Two of them, according to the same public statements, are in severe psychological distress and have been unable to give a statement at this time.

The other two have asked for time and are expected to appear to testify. Their distressed condition makes the debate over how the case has been handled even more sensitive, especially given that the videos continue to be accessible online.

Four criminal offenses under investigation

Tirana Police have launched an investigation into four criminal offenses: “Illegal interception of computer data,” “Interference with computer data,” “Unjust interference in private life,” and “Misuse of devices.”

However, the fact that the videos are still reportedly active online raises questions about the speed and effectiveness of the institutional response. A criminal investigation is a procedural step, but for the public the essential issue remains whether the material is actually being stopped from spreading.

When the video was published and why views increased

According to statements made in the studio, the video was first published on December 9, 2024, on a paid adult website, while the filming is reported to have taken place on November 11, 2024.

According to the same account, after the case gained traction in Albanian media, viewership increased and the video was not blocked. This boomerang effect highlights not only the responsibility of the possible perpetrators, but also the delay by authorities in limiting the damage in a case that directly affects the privacy and integrity of the people involved.

At this stage, the case remains open between the claims of the parties and investigative actions that have yet to produce a visible result in stopping the circulation of the videos.

Beyond statements about cooperation and criminal procedures, the real test for institutions is whether they can protect the victims and curb the spread of materials that continue to violate private life.
