Rama promotes ‘Flamingo Mirror’: 127,000 searches in 24 hours and 122 cyberattacks

The 24-hour balance published by Rama

According to data made public by Edi Rama, the “Pasqyra e Flamingos/Flamingo Mirror” platform recorded more than 127,000 searches during the first 24 hours after launch.

The same update also reported 3,397 page searches, as well as 49 new questions sent to the platform. The figures were presented by the prime minister as indicators of immediate interest after the system went LIVE.

122 cyberattacks, all repelled according to the government

In his response, Rama said the platform faced 122 cyberattacks from 32 foreign addresses.

According to him, these attempts were repelled without causing damage. So far, no further technical details or independent verifications have been provided about the nature of these attacks or the real impact they may have had on the platform’s operation.

The government is selling it as a battle for “transparency”

The prime minister has linked the launch of “Flamingo Mirror” to what he calls a new phase of transparency, presenting the platform as a confrontation between the “facts of governance” and content he describes as anti-state on social media.

This is the political framing the government itself is giving the project. Beyond the rhetoric, it remains to be seen how accessible, verifiable, and useful the platform will be for the public beyond the first day’s promotional figures.

What is known so far about the platform

From the information made public so far, “Flamingo Mirror” has begun operating with a focus on user searches and questions, while the government is promoting it as a new online information channel.

No further details have yet been provided on verification mechanisms, the way content will be administered, or the standards by which the transparency claimed by the executive will be measured.

For now, the only public balance for “Flamingo Mirror” remains the one announced by the prime minister, with emphasis on the number of searches and the reported cyberattacks.

The real debate over the platform’s value is not expected to be decided by the enthusiasm of the launch, but by how much verifiable information it will provide to citizens in practice.
