After the uproar surrounding intimate videos linked to composer Adi Hila, singer Blerina Matraku has come forward with her public version of events. She claims their professional relationship began with a payment of €10,000 for an album and denies owing the composer anything for her songs.
First statement after becoming involved in the debate
Matraku spoke publicly about the issue that has placed her at the center of attention, insisting that the event is not as it has been publicly perceived.
In her statement, she said she had chosen to give her personal version of the story and take responsibility for the part that belongs to her, while suggesting that, in her view, the weight of public blame placed on her name has been greater than it should have been.
Claim of a €10,000 payment
According to Matraku, her collaboration with Adi Hila began in 2007, when she asked him to produce an album.
She said that for this project she paid €10,000, a sum which, according to her, she had collected through appearances at events, weddings, and work as a flight attendant. The singer added that friends had also helped her with this investment, since it was a large amount for what she was able to afford at the time.
“I do not owe him anything”
At the center of her statement was also her financial and professional relationship with the composer. Matraku claims that she does not owe Adi Hila anything at all for her songs and that there are no unresolved obligations between them in this regard.
She said the songs had also been intended for participation in various competitions, presenting the collaboration as a clear professional investment and not as a relationship involving open obligations on her side.
Four years of collaboration and the boundary with personal life
Matraku recalled that she had sought out the composer for months because of the reputation and seriousness he enjoyed in music during that period.
She admitted that she finds it difficult to speak about the personal side of this story, but confirmed that their collaboration lasted four years. At this stage, her statements present only the singer’s version of the relationship and the payment she claims to have made.
Blerina Matraku’s statement opens another angle in a story that until now has largely been seen through public uproar and media exposure.
