Gathering outside the Ministry building

According to footage and information published from the scene, participants gathered outside the Ministry of Education in the capital, turning the entrance to the institution into the center of the protest.

During the gathering, eggs were thrown toward the building, while some of the protesters also began writing with spray paint on the exterior walls.

Organizers’ message

In a notice distributed by the organizers, the protest was presented as a broader reaction to problems that, according to them, are not functioning.

“We are protesting against everything that does not work and for everything we want to be different,” their published message said.

Few details on specific demands

At this stage, no more detailed demands or a clear list of claims accompanying the protest have been made public.

It remains unclear whether the Ministry of Education has issued a response to the incidents outside the building and to the concerns raised by the protesters.

The protest comes at a time when dissatisfaction among young people is being expressed increasingly often, including in symbolic forms and in front of institutions.

Beyond the act of throwing eggs and spray-painted writing, the essence of the gathering appears to be a direct accusation over the way the education system is functioning, according to the protesters themselves.
