The two motorcyclists reported missing in the Maja e Jezercës area were found after several hours of searches in one of the country’s most difficult mountain terrains. According to information released about the operation, they were located and brought toward a safe area, bringing the operation to a close with no reported consequences so far.

The operation was carried out in difficult relief conditions in the Jezercë area, where the search lasted for several hours.
The version made public about the intervention indicates that the teams involved first managed to locate the two motorcyclists and then organize their extraction from the mountain terrain.
The extraction was carried out by Kosovo’s motorcyclist team
According to the published information, the Motorcyclists Department of the Kosovo Search and Rescue Association carried out the extraction of the two missing people from the area where they were located.
The operation was considered successfully completed after they were placed in a safe location.
The State Police were also involved in the operation
State Police forces also took part in the intervention, in cooperation with Albanian search-and-rescue teams.
The involvement of several structures in such a harsh mountain area once again highlights the difficulties posed by intervention in the Alps, especially when movements take place far from the usual routes and in rugged relief conditions.
