The gathering began at Skanderbeg Square

The protesters initially gathered at Skanderbeg Square before continuing their march toward the Prime Minister’s Office building in Tirana.

The main part of the rally took place there, where participants repeated political chants against the government and their demand for its resignation.

Incident before the speeches began

Shortly before the speeches were due to start, one of the protesters felt unwell and fainted in front of the Prime Minister’s Office.

At the scene, activists and those present requested the intervention of a doctor to check the person’s condition. No further details were given about the circumstances or about his condition after first aid.

Political calls for the government to step down

During the gathering, there were also direct calls for Prime Minister Edi Rama to resign.

One female protester publicly called for the head of government to step down, presenting this as a step toward the changes that, according to her, citizens are waiting for.

The protest ended with a march

After the speeches in front of the Prime Minister’s Office, participants concluded this protest as well with a march.

The 65th gathering followed the same organizational pattern as on previous days, with an assembly in central Tirana, movement toward institutions, and political messages against the government.

The incident in front of the Prime Minister’s Office once again showed that prolonged gatherings in public spaces remain exposed to incidents requiring an immediate response on the ground.

Beyond the protest’s political rhetoric, attention this time focused on the condition of the protester who fainted in the middle of the gathering.
