The fire broke out on the ninth floor
According to preliminary data, the fire broke out at around 8:30 p.m. on the ninth floor of a building in a tourist complex in the Shkëmbi i Kavajës area.
The apartment where the flames erupted is owned by a citizen identified by the initials E. Sh. Smoke and flames were visible even from a distance, indicating the scale of the incident in an area crowded with holidaymakers during the season.
Six people received help at hospital
The preliminary version says six citizens were taken to hospital after suffering breathing difficulties as a result of the smoke.
Authorities say they are out of danger for their lives, while the fire service reported that no one was injured by the flames.
