A hammer left at the scene has become one of the key points supporting the investigation into the armed robbery of a jewelry store in the Paskuqan area. According to the police version, the material evidence has been sent to the forensic laboratory, while searches were also carried out during the day at the home of a suspected person.
A single piece of evidence at the center of the investigation
According to the published information, Kamza police have seized a hammer left at the scene, hoping that fingerprints may be found on it that will lead to the perpetrators.
The object has been sent for examination to the forensic laboratory. So far, this remains one of the most concrete pieces of evidence mentioned by the investigative team for identifying the robbers.
How the robbery scene was reconstructed
According to testimony collected by investigators, two masked individuals entered the jewelry store and took jewelry weighing about 2 kilograms of gold.
The version reconstructed by the investigation says the perpetrators were wearing motorcycle helmets to hide their faces and had arrived at the scene on a motorcycle. They are suspected of having been armed with an automatic weapon, used to exert pressure, but no shots were reported.
Vehicle without plates and escape through side roads
According to information gathered by police, the robbers were traveling in a repainted vehicle without license plates, an element that once again raises questions about the ability to track them in time.
According to the same version, after the robbery they fled through side roads, which appears to have made immediate pursuit by police more difficult.
Witnesses questioned, search at a suspect’s home
Investigators questioned the jewelry store’s two saleswomen, as well as two eyewitnesses who were inside the shop at the time of the robbery.
During the day, a search was also carried out at the home of a suspected person. However, at this stage no information has been made public about any detention or arrest, and it remains unclear whether the searches produced new evidence.
The incident once again highlights the vulnerability of businesses dealing in high-value items, while the investigation remains dependent on forensic evidence and testimony collected on the ground.
