Genaro Fausto Lozano Valencia has begun his term as Mexico’s ambassador to Albania, holding his first meetings with the country’s top state leaders. According to official statements, these contacts focused on bilateral relations and the goal of deepening them in several areas.

President Bajram Begaj received the credentials of Mexico’s new ambassador, a formal step marking the start of his diplomatic term in Tirana.
During the ceremony, according to the Presidency, the friendly relations between Albania and Mexico were praised. No other concrete details were made public regarding specific issues on the bilateral agenda.
Meeting also at the Foreign Ministry
The ambassador was also received by the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha. According to the official version, the meeting discussed the further strengthening of cooperation between the two countries.
At the center of the discussions, according to the Ministry, was the importance of regular high-level contacts and the deepening of political dialogue. In this case as well, the public communication remained declarative, without detailed timelines or initiatives.
The ambassador’s message on his mission in Albania
In a statement given to the media, Genaro Fausto Lozano Valencia said he had come to Albania to begin his mission as Mexico’s representative and that he is enthusiastic about this duty.
He also said that during his stay in Tirana he held a meeting with the Mexican community in Albania, which he described as small but well integrated into the country. The ambassador described the start of his term as an important personal and diplomatic moment.
