A robbery with a clear target has struck a jewelry store in Paskuqan, once again raising questions about the security of businesses in the peripheral areas of Tirana. Jewelry store robbery in Paskuqan, 1.5 million lek stolen: suspects believed to have studied the area

Two masked individuals at the center of the investigation

The incident happened on Wednesday afternoon in the Paskuqan area, in Kamza. According to information being verified by the police and the Prosecutor’s Office, two people are suspected of having taken part in the robbery, both of them masked.

Their presence was captured by security cameras, which have been examined and seized as part of the investigation. At this stage, the authorities have not made the identities of the suspects public.

The value of the damage is estimated at 1.5 million lek

According to investigators, the value of the items stolen from the jewelry store amounts to around 1.5 million new lek. The figure remains part of the institutions’ preliminary assessments and is expected to be clarified further during inventory checks.

The case once again draws attention to the exposure of businesses that keep high-value goods, while preventive measures and the institutional response after such incidents remain under public scrutiny.

Suspicion: one of the perpetrators had previously appeared as a customer

One of the leads being examined is that one of the robbers may previously have appeared at the jewelry store as a customer. According to sources close to Police Commissariat No. 5, this suspicion is linked to the possibility that the perpetrator had observed the premises in advance and the valuable items kept inside.

If this lead is confirmed, it would point to a premeditated robbery rather than a random hit.

Movement on peripheral roads, not on the main axis

Based on security footage and the checks carried out so far, according to the official version, the suspects moved along peripheral routes in Kamza and avoided the main road.

This element has increased investigators’ suspicions that the perpetrators may have had good knowledge of the area. However, it remains to be seen whether this lead will be supported by other investigative evidence.

The investigation is ongoing to identify the perpetrators and document their route before and after the robbery.

So far, the facts made public are based mainly on security cameras and investigators’ preliminary suspicions, while the expectation remains that the investigation will produce more than a partial reconstruction of the event.
