Broad deployment on the ground, but several hotspots remain open

The official version states that 487 operational personnel and 30 fire engines were engaged in extinguishing operations. Also deployed in support were 100 members of the Armed Forces, 2 fire engines, 3 helicopters and 2 Air Tractor aircraft.

Despite this mobilization, several of the most significant hotspots remain active, showing that the situation has not yet been resolved in some regions of the country.

Dajt and Gurë-Lurë among the most sensitive points

According to the authorities, the intervention in Dajt is continuing with 50 Armed Forces personnel and 2 helicopters. So far, no risk to residential areas has been reported.

In Gurë-Lurë, another large-scale operation has been concentrated with municipal forces, the fire service, police, the ADZM, volunteers and 50 Armed Forces personnel, also supported by 2 Air Tractor aircraft. According to the official report, corridors opened on the ground have prevented the flames from approaching homes.

Active hotspots also in Mirditë, Pukë and other areas

Among the main active hotspots mentioned are Dajt, Gurë-Lura, Qafë Helmësi, Bruçi, Lufaj, Fushë-Laja and Rrjolli. These remain the areas where most intervention efforts are concentrated during the evening hours.

In Lufaj, Mirditë, work continued with forces on the ground and an Armed Forces helicopter. Authorities said the fire in Tharrë has been brought under control.

Zhejë extinguished, Rrjoll under observation

In Zhejë, Kurbin, the fire has been fully extinguished following the intervention of the fire service, municipal forces, police and an Armed Forces helicopter.

Meanwhile, in Fushë-Lajë, Pukë, the hotspot remains active, but according to institutions it is of low intensity and poses no risk to homes. In Rrjoll, the situation is being kept under close monitoring, including with a drone.

The evening toll shows that a considerable share of the hotspots has been isolated or extinguished, but the fire map remains active in several areas.

Beyond statements that there is no immediate risk to homes at the main hotspots, the presence of 8 active fire hotspots shows that the situation remains sensitive and under operational pressure.
