The protest outside the Prime Minister’s Office in Tirana entered its 80th day, with another gathering in which political demands against the government and the entire ruling class were repeated. At the center of the calls were the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, the establishment of a technical government, and the removal of the political class.

March from Skanderbeg Square toward the Prime Minister’s Office

The demonstrators initially gathered at Skanderbeg Square, before continuing their march toward Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard.

They then stopped in front of the Prime Minister’s Office building, the point where the protest has once again taken the form of a symbolic confrontation with the government.

The political demands remain the same

During the gathering, protesters demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, the toppling of the political class, and the creation of a technical government.

These demands have been voiced repeatedly for days, keeping the focus of the protest on the crisis of representation and distrust toward political institutions.

A protest that enters its 80th day

The fact that the gathering was held for the 80th consecutive day shows that the dissatisfaction of the organizers and participants has not subsided, even though the political and institutional response to these calls remains unclear.

So far, the protest has continued with the same route and the same set of demands, while the public pressure exerted on the ground has not produced any announced developments on the institutional level.

The evening gathering kept unchanged the pattern of recent days: assembly in central Tirana, a march toward the Prime Minister’s Office, and direct political demands against the government.

In essence, the protest is presenting itself as a continuing message of distrust toward the political elite, rather than as an isolated episode of civic discontent.
