The government is rolling out another digital platform, this time under the name “Pasqyrë Albania,” presented by Edi Rama as a mechanism through which citizens will have all institutions in front of them and will be able to track the progress of their requests in real time. On paper, the promise is for greater traceability and accountability; it remains to be seen how much this will translate into concrete solutions rather than simply a new packaging of an existing model.
Rama presents it as a “mirror” of the state facing the citizen
From Pogradec, the prime minister said that the meeting had discussed the “unique mirror,” “Pasqyrë Albania,” where citizens will have all institutions present.
According to the version made public by Rama, the aim is for every request, concern or problem that citizens address to institutions to function like a “postal package,” the status of which is tracked in real time by the sender, while the state and institutions monitor responsibilities and missed deadlines.
Two sections planned for the platform
The first details published show that “Pasqyrë Albania” is expected to be a modernization of the “Co-Governance” platform, meaning not an entirely new mechanism, but a reformatting of an instrument that the government has used before.
The system will have two sections. The first will be called “Flamingo Mirror” and will serve for sensitive reports and citizens’ day-to-day concerns.
The second part will be called “Radar,” where concerns will be collected and, according to the announced scheme, they will be tracked within 48 hours and then should receive a solution within a period of up to two weeks.
The promise of trust in institutions, questions remain over implementation
According to sources from the Socialist Party, “Mirror Albania” is intended to increase trust in state institutions, with the main objective of solving problems.
However, the very way the initiative is being presented raises the central question: will it bring a real response from the administration, or simply a new reporting channel with declared deadlines but no public guarantees of accountability when those deadlines are missed?
The political test also appears linked to 2027
The published information says that the success of this new Rama initiative is also expected to be tested politically in the 2027 local elections.
This places “Pasqyrë Albania” not only on the level of services, but also in a clear electoral context, where the platform’s declared effectiveness is expected to be measured beyond the administration and in public perceptions of the government.
So far, what is known about “Pasqyrë Albania” remains at the level of promises, structures and declared deadlines.
The real question is not what the platform’s sections are called, but whether citizens will receive answers and solutions within the deadlines being presented as a new standard.
