Partizani beat Vllaznia 3-2 in Shkodra as stoppage-time penalty seals the drama

Fast start from Partizani, immediate response from Vllaznia

The match began at a high tempo and with the first major blow from Partizani. In the 4th minute, Fadairo struck from distance and sent the ball into the top corner, giving the Red side the lead.

Vllaznia responded quickly and increased the pressure in front of the opposing goal. The equaliser came in the 21st minute, when after a corner, Vata deflected the ball into his own net. The Shkodra side also had other good moments, but Qirko stopped a powerful attempt from Balaj in the 40th minute.

Aliu restores the lead before the break

As the first half was heading toward its close, Partizani struck again. In the fourth minute of added time, after a quick counterattack started by Bintsouka, Aliu was clinical in front of Avrami and scored for 1-2.

It was a goal with psychological weight for the visitors, who went into the dressing room ahead, even though the match remained open and was being played at a high rhythm by both sides.

Qirko’s mistake brings everything back level

In the second half, Vllaznia came out with more intent and quickly found the equaliser. In the 57th minute, after an uncertain intervention by Qirko, the ball remained in the area and Musta pushed it into the net for 2-2.

After that moment, the match became even more open. Partizani came close to scoring with Aliu in the 64th minute, but Avrami reacted well. At the other end, the clearest chance for the home side came in the 79th minute, when Qirko first denied Tounkara, before Janjeva intervened at the last moment to prevent Musta from scoring.

The stoppage-time penalty and the moment that sealed the match

When a draw seemed the most likely result, the ending produced the moment that decided everything. In the first minute of stoppage time, Partizani won a penalty. Sidibe took the kick, but Avrami managed to save it.

Immediately afterwards, referee Lata signalled that the penalty would be retaken, because according to the on-field decision Musta had entered the area too early at the moment of the shot. On the second attempt, Human kept his composure and scored for 2-3, giving Partizani victory in the final seconds.

The match in Shkodra ended amid tension and numerous twists, with Vllaznia responding twice but taking no points.

For Partizani, the success at Loro Boriçi came after a match in which their lead was twice wiped out, only to be restored at the end from the penalty spot.
