Tensions between students and police in Durrës have not eased. On the contrary, the clashes have again shifted near Aleksandër Moisiu University, where, according to reported information, 27 students were taken to police after another confrontation with officers.

New confrontation near the university
The incident was recorded in the outdoor areas of the university, where students and police again became involved in tensions. According to the reported version, 27 students were taken to police after the clash.
These detentions are adding to an already strained climate, in which the police response is becoming a central part of developments rather than simply a measure to maintain order.
Toll from the previous day: 25 arrested
From the previous protest, 35 people were reportedly taken to police in total, while 25 of them were arrested. The rest were prosecuted while remaining at liberty.
Among those arrested, according to reports, there are also minors. This element makes the way the situation was handled by the authorities even more sensitive.
Police report injured officers
According to police, 20 police employees were injured in yesterday’s protest. Among them, deputy director Idriz Daullja is also mentioned.
This is the toll presented by the authorities, while at this stage there is no complete public data on the specific circumstances of each clash and on the proportionality of the intervention against protesters.
Protesters warn gatherings will continue
Despite the detentions and arrests, the protesters have said they will not back down. Another gathering has been announced for 12:30 p.m. in front of the Municipality of Durrës.
Students and citizens are expected to gather there, at a moment when the situation between protesters and local institutions is entering an even more heated phase.
Developments in Durrës are being accompanied by strong police measures and a rising toll of detentions and arrests.
In the absence of a full and publicly verified picture for every episode, serious questions remain over the management of the protest and the treatment of students by the authorities.
