Tensions at the Democratic Party headquarters have taken on another political charge, after Sali Berisha publicly came forward with strong accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama and the police. In his version, the incident was not a reaction by protesters, but an orchestrated scenario designed to create the idea that party headquarters were coming under attack.

Berisha: There was no attack by protesters against the DP

The DP leader arrived at the party headquarters and commented on the latest tensions, insisting that there had been no attempt by protesters to damage the building.

According to Berisha, the people who took part in the protest had no motive to attack the Democratic Party and did not become part of what he described as a failed scenario.

Accusations against Rama and the claim of a pre-arranged scenario

In his statement to the media, Berisha claimed that everything had been constructed to create the perception that protesters were attacking the headquarters of the two main parties.

He directly accused Edi Rama of, according to him, encouraging the spread of this version and attempting to use the protest for political purposes against the opposition.

The police also in the crosshairs

Berisha also leveled accusations against the police, claiming that the intervention on the grounds of the DP headquarters was illegal and in violation of the Constitution.

According to him, police forces used large amounts of gas without cause, while he linked this action to the failure of the scenario he attributes to the majority.

The political message after the clash

At the end of his statement, Berisha warned of personal responsibility for the prime minister for what he called manipulation of the protest and repeated that Democrats would continue civil disobedience.

He also referred to minors, saying that every minor attacked would be protected by the Democratic Party and that whoever acts against them, according to him, violates the law and the Constitution.

Berishas statements reinforce the political clash over what happened at the DP headquarters, but at this stage he has presented only his own version of events.

In the absence of a full and verifiable picture of the incident, the question of what really happened during the tensions near the Democratic headquarters remains open.
