A group of lecturers gathered at Polytechnic University and began a peaceful march in support of the students, who have been protesting for eight days. At the center of the movement was solidarity with the students and a call for the gatherings to be repeated every day at 10:00.

March from the Polytechnic alongside the student protest
The lecturers initially gathered in the area near Polytechnic University, from where they began their peaceful march. The move came as a sign of support for the students, who have entered the eighth day of their protest.
The presence of lecturers gives added weight to the reaction within universities, as the protest is no longer remaining only at the student level, but is also receiving support from academic staff.
Political chants during the march
In footage published from the scene, the lecturers can be heard chanting “resignation” at Prime Minister Edi Rama. This shifts the protest onto a direct political plane as well, beyond symbolic support for the students.
This chant shows that the dissatisfaction expressed on the ground is not being limited only to the students’ situation, but is also being articulated as opposition to the government’s responsibility.
Call to gather every day at 10:00
The lecturers’ main position was that support for the students should not remain an isolated reaction. They called for the gathering to take place every day at 10:00, as a form of continued solidarity.
The message that emerged from the march was clear: the protest is seeking continuity and a daily presence, while public pressure on institutions is intended to remain uninterrupted.
The lecturers’ march adds another link to the chain of reactions accompanying the student protest.
With the support of academic staff, the protest enters a phase in which the demand for public accountability becomes more visible within universities as well.
