Erjon Vishkulli, the 28-year-old who was injured in the eye during the protest three days ago, has reacted publicly after undergoing surgery in Italy. While he shared a brief message on social media, investigative steps have also begun in Albania into the circumstances of his injury.

Reaction after the surgical procedure
In a post on social media, Vishkulli wrote: “God will create relief after hardship.”
In the image published, he appears making the double-headed eagle gesture with his hands, a few days after the incident that led to medical treatment abroad.
Injury during the protest
According to the version reported so far, the 28-year-old was injured in the eye by a rubber bullet during the clash at the protest.
The case has raised serious questions about the way law enforcement intervened and the use of force against protesters.
Suspicions against police officers
Two prosecutors have launched an investigation on their own initiative into the criminal offenses of “Abuse of office” and “Carrying out arbitrary actions.”
Under suspicion, according to the information made public, are State Police officers following the clash during which the young man was injured.
What has been collected so far
As part of the investigation, around 20 medical records of people injured during the incident have been obtained.
Among them is also Erjon Vishkulli’s medical record, which is expected to carry weight in clarifying the circumstances of the injury.
The investigation has just begun, and it remains to be seen whether it will establish concrete responsibility for the episode that left the 28-year-old injured.
So far, Vishkulli’s public reaction is the first sign since the operation, while attention remains on how this issue will be handled institutionally.
