A suspected quantity of explosive material was discovered on Tuesday morning near the door of a bar in Kamëz, in an episode that once again raises questions about security and the prevention of such incidents in urban areas. According to the police’s official version, the material did not explode.
The incident was reported early in the morning
According to police, at around 06:30 on October 29, 2026, on “Berisha” street in Kamëz, a suspected quantity of explosive material was found placed near the door of a private business, specifically a bar.
The owner of the business was identified by authorities by the initials K. H., 38 years old. At this stage, authorities have not provided further details about the circumstances or possible perpetrators.
Engineering forces intervened
Police said specialized engineering services intervened at the scene and made it possible to remove the suspected explosive material.
The official statement provides no information about the type of material found, its possible power, or the mechanism by which it is suspected to have been placed near the bar.
