In her reply, Meloni calls Albania a “valuable friend and partner” and also places emphasis on the shared journey toward Europe.

Prime Minister Edi Rama had congratulated his Italian counterpart for the longest-serving term in the history of the Italian Republic. In his message, according to the version made public, there was no shortage of jokes about Italian politics, women in power and the relationship with Europe.
Meloni’s reply came in friendly and personal tones. She thanked Rama for the video message and praised his style, writing that he manages to combine irony with “some not very comfortable truths.”
