Knife attack in Greece: Albanian Klevis Tite and 32-year-old woman in serious condition

He entered through the window after smashing it with a hammer

According to initial information, the perpetrator went to the victims’ home with a ladder, broke the window with a hammer and then entered inside. There, he is suspected of stabbing his 32-year-old ex-wife and 33-year-old Klevis Tite.

The incident happened on Friday morning and has raised serious questions about how a person previously reported was able to reach the victims again.

The injured were taken to two hospitals

The 32-year-old woman was stabbed in the back and is in serious condition at the “Evangjelizmos” hospital. Meanwhile, Klevis Tite suffered injuries to his hands and in the genital area.

He was transported to the “Asklipio” hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment. The condition of both is reported to be serious.

The attack happened in front of two young children

The scene of violence, according to the reported information, unfolded in the presence of the former couple’s two small children, aged just 1.5 and 2.5 years old.

The children were taken away in a state of shock by psychologists, a detail that makes the incident even more disturbing.

Five reports and a ‘panic button,’ but the attack was not stopped

According to reports, the woman had reported the 32-year-old at least five times for violence and threats. Her phone had also been equipped with the “panic button” system, which alerts law enforcement online in the event of danger.

This element in particular puts at the center of attention not only the perpetrator, but also the real effectiveness of the protective measures that were claimed to be in force.

Intervention by a resident and the suspect’s arrest

According to the reported version, a resident who was parking a vehicle near the home intervened to prevent even more serious consequences and alerted police.

Police reportedly arrived at the scene within two minutes. The suspect was arrested and is expected to appear before the court for a security measure hearing.

The case once again highlights the gap between reports of violence and the concrete protection guaranteed to victims, even when the warning signs of danger are repeated.

Beyond the suspect’s arrest, the question remains open: why did the mechanisms activated earlier not prevent the attack?
