The reported poisoning of six children at a kindergarten in Korça has raised new questions about hygiene and sanitary conditions, as well as the way food service was managed. One parent is calling for a full investigation and is questioning whether the problem is linked to kitchen utensils or to the procedures followed before food service began.

Parent raises doubts about the cause of the symptoms
According to the parent, the case should not be closed with quick explanations without verifying in detail every link that may have influenced the appearance of symptoms in the children.
He is calling for the cause of the situation to be fully investigated, without ruling out hygiene conditions in the areas where food is prepared and served.
Claim that the utensils had not been used for weeks
According to the parent, disinfection at the kindergarten was carried out at the beginning of September, but the kitchen utensils had not been used until a few days ago.
The reason, he said, was that food service had not started because of the lack of a tender. This circumstance raises doubts about whether the equipment later used was in proper condition for use.
Food service started on Thursday, symptoms appeared on Friday
The parent says food service for the children started on Thursday, while on Friday evening his son showed symptoms that he links to poisoning.
At this point, suspicions have focused on the hygiene chain and on the way the utensils were used after a long period of non-use.
Call for full verification of conditions and food
Parents are calling for the hygiene and sanitary conditions at the kindergarten, the food consumed and the kitchen utensils to be verified.
The aim, they say, is to determine precisely what caused the symptoms in the children and whether there was negligence in the implementation of basic safety standards.
The case once again raises concern about the real oversight of conditions in institutions that care for children, especially when sensitive services such as food begin late and without full transparency about the procedures followed.
In the absence of a full explanation of the cause, the demand for a detailed verification remains essential to prevent responsibility from being lost between official versions and parents’ suspicions.
