A violent attack was recorded this morning in Ballsh, where the target was Armand Aliaj, the former head of the fire brigade unit in Mallakastër. According to information available so far, he was struck with a crowbar by masked individuals inside his premises, while the motive remains unclear.

The attack in the early morning hours
The incident happened at around 7:00 a.m., when Aliaj was alone at his premises in Ballsh.
According to his testimony, he had just prepared coffee when he was attacked from behind by several masked individuals. According to this account, they did not say a word to him before striking him with a crowbar.
Assailants fled by car
After the attack, the assailants immediately left the scene.
According to the testimony given, they fled in an Audi Q5, a detail expected to be verified by the investigation and security cameras, if the area is found to be under surveillance.
The injured man went to hospital himself
After the assault, Aliaj went on his own to the hospital in Ballsh, where he received first medical aid.
He suffered injuries to his forehead, hands and shoulder. The wound to his forehead required stitches, after which he was transferred to the Regional Hospital of Fier for further examinations. His health condition is reported to be stable.
The motive remains unclear
In his statement, Aliaj said he has no conflicts with anyone.
This is precisely what leaves the main question of the incident open: why such an attack was organized and who is behind it. So far there has been no public clarification of the motive, while a full clarification of the circumstances remains in the hands of the official investigation.
The incident raises serious questions about security and the investigative response in a case where the perpetrators acted masked, struck, and left without leaving any obvious explanation.
For the moment, the motive for the attack on the former director of the fire brigade in Mallakastër remains unclear.
