The mother of the 17-year-old girl who was assaulted by three peers in Fier has spoken about the consequences that, according to her, continue to weigh on her daughter and the entire family. In the version she provided, the minor remains shaken psychologically even more than physically, while the incident is now under investigation by the authorities.
How the family learned about the incident
According to the mother’s account, on June 8 her daughter had gone out to attend her hairdressing course, as usual, and the family was waiting for her to return home. Instead, they received a phone call informing them that the 17-year-old was in hospital, after she had gone there herself to seek medical help following the violence she suffered.
When the mother went to pick her up, she says she immediately noticed the marks on her daughter’s face: blackened eyes, a bruised chin and disheveled hair. At first, the girl had tried to play down the situation, but later, after her mother’s insistence, she recounted what had happened.
The minor’s claim: ‘Come with us, we have a surprise’
According to the 17-year-old’s account, a girl she knew only superficially approached her after she left the course and told her, “Come with us, we have a surprise.” After that, according to the same version, the minor followed them without suspicion and was then assaulted by three peers.
The mother says she asked her daughter whether there had been any previous conflict or clash with them, but according to her the answer was no. She insists that her daughter led a limited life between home and the course and had not had problems with anyone.
The family filed a complaint; the investigation remains in the hands of the authorities
After the minor’s account, the family went to Fier Police to file a complaint. Meanwhile, the 17-year-old also received the medical treatment she needed.
According to public information, the Police and the Prosecution have launched an investigation to clarify the full circumstances and motives of the case. So far, it remains to be seen how quickly and how fully the institutions will manage to clarify an incident that has sparked strong public reaction.
The psychological consequences and the mother’s reaction
The mother says the greatest harm is linked not only to the physical marks, but to her daughter’s psychological condition. According to her, the minor cries often, is afraid, trembles and has become more withdrawn, no longer being the same as before the incident.
She says that she herself is also going through a difficult emotional period and has not found peace for more than a month. In her statement, the mother says she cannot forgive what happened, even though she understands the pain of every parent involved in this story.
