According to the version reported from the ground, tear gas was used against the crowd near “Dëshmorët e Kombit” Boulevard, while another group stopped near the Police Directorate in the “Myslym Shyri” area.

Tear gas on the boulevard
At one of the points where the protest was concentrated, on “Dëshmorët e Kombit” Boulevard, police used tear gas to disperse the protesters. The use of this measure further pushed the climate of tension in the center of the capital.
Footage and movements on the ground show that the situation has remained unstable, with groups of protesters moving from one area to another and an immediate response from law enforcement forces.
Increased police presence in several areas
On several arteries of Tirana, numerous police vehicles were seen on patrol, while protesters repeatedly changed the direction of their movement. This increased presence shows that the authorities are trying to keep developments under control, while the situation on the ground remains fragmented and tense.
The continued movement of protesters in different areas has led to a concentration of police forces at more than one point, turning the capital into a scattered map of clashes and blockades.
Blockade near the Police Directorate
Another gathering of protesters approached the Police Directorate in the “Myslym Shyri” area. There, according to reports, they encountered a large police roadblock and then left.
This movement by protesters toward a police institution further heightened the sensitivity of the situation, while the response on the ground was the deployment of a strong cordon to prevent their approach.
Allegations of damage and response with water and gas
According to the official version reported from the ground, the protest has continued since the morning hours and during it state institutions and private businesses were attacked. According to the same version, benches, kiosks and trash bins were burned.
It is also reported that stones and hard objects were thrown at the police, while law enforcement forces responded with water and tear gas. The full toll of the clashes and responsibilities remains unclear beyond what has been reported so far.
The situation in Tirana remains tense, with scattered clashes and a visible police presence in several areas of the city.
At this stage, the picture remains divided between what is being reported from the ground and the version given by law enforcement structures regarding the scale of the incidents and the police response.
