A powerful explosion in an apartment building in Elbasan has had serious consequences, with the toll so far, according to the official version, standing at one victim and several injured people. The Ministry of Health said that eight people are receiving medical assistance, including a child.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, an 82-year-old woman lost her life in the explosion and was found without signs of life at the scene.
