For the 57th consecutive day, the protest outside the Prime Minister’s Office continued with no change in direction from the organizers. Demonstrators repeated their demands for resignations and a technical government, while making it clear that they do not accept negotiations with Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The gathering began in Skanderbeg Square
The organizers had announced the gathering of protesters in Skanderbeg Square starting at 8 a.m. From there, they then headed on foot toward Parliament, where another plenary session had been announced.
The movement from the square toward the country’s main decision-making institutions showed that the protest remains focused on public pressure against the government and Parliament, rather than any retreat from the demands declared in recent days.
Any negotiations with Rama are rejected
At the 57th protest below the government building, the organizers repeated that they do not accept negotiations with Prime Minister Edi Rama. This position was once again articulated as the unchanged line of the gathering.
