SPAK is keeping information closed on the file related to Belinda Balluku, limiting itself to a general notice about the size of the investigative team. The head of the institution, Klodian Braho, said the proceedings are continuing and that no details will be made public at this stage, while leaving open the possibility of further developments depending on the investigation.
Braho: the file is a priority, but without public details
Klodian Braho stated that the case is still under investigation and, for that reason, SPAK will not make other data public at this moment.
According to him, the file is considered a priority because of the status of the subject and the volume of work, but the public remains without concrete answers on the actual progress of the proceedings, beyond the usual procedural wording.
9 officers and 2 prosecutors in the investigative team
The head of SPAK said that nine officers and two prosecutors are working on the file. This is the clearest element made public so far regarding the structure of the investigation.
He did not rule out new developments, but did not clarify what stage the investigative work is specifically at or what the next steps might be for the investigative team.
The clash with Parliament’s decision remains in the background
Braho said SPAK has made its position public and the reasons why it had requested a certain action, while adding that Parliament has taken a binding decision, even if the institution may not have agreed with it.
According to the version expressed by him, the investigations continued even after that decision. Nevertheless, it remains unclear whether there will be a new request and what new evidence or circumstances would have to overcome the limit previously set by parliamentary decision-making.
An open file, but with many public question marks
Braho stressed that any eventual new decision would depend on the working group, on the progress of the investigations and on new circumstances that may arise during the proceedings.
For the moment, the institution is offering only the signal that the file has not been closed. The rest remains in the territory of an investigation being conducted without sufficient transparency for public opinion, despite the high level of interest in the case.
The statement by the head of SPAK confirms that proceedings in the Balluku case remain active, but without a timetable, without details and without guarantees that the public will soon have a clearer picture.
Beyond the number of officers and prosecutors engaged, the main element that stands out is that the file continues to move forward under a strict regime of institutional confidentiality.
