For the 73rd consecutive day, a group of protesters gathered on the “Dëshmorët e Kombit” Boulevard, repeating their demand for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the removal of what they describe as the entire political class. The gathering was accompanied by calls for a technical government and constitutional changes, and ended with a march through the streets of the capital.

The protest outside the Prime Minister’s Office continued along the same lines as on previous days, with direct calls for the head of government to step down. Also at the center of the gathering were demands for a technical government and intervention in the Constitution, which protesters once again voiced on the boulevard.
This daily rhythm of protest is becoming a form of symbolic pressure on the government, although it remains unclear how much real political weight it is managing to produce beyond the boulevard.
A message against violence, but for a cultural “revolution”
An elderly man present at the protest also spoke during the gathering, saying that their aim is not an armed confrontation, but an “ideological and cultural revolution.”
According to his statement at the protest, change must come through civic awareness, culture and education, not through weapons or violence. In the same remarks, he also addressed the patronage network, rejecting the interpretation that the protest is seeking an overthrow by force.
Criticism not only of the government
The gathering also included political attacks on the opposition, showing that the dissatisfaction expressed on the boulevard is not directed only at the ruling majority. The protesters’ message was against the entire political spectrum, not simply against the government.
This makes the protest broader in rhetoric, but also less clear in its political objective, as demands directed at all actors at once make them harder to translate into a concrete platform.
Ending with a march through the capital’s streets
After speeches below the Prime Minister’s Office building, the protesters continued with their nightly march through the streets of Tirana. Calls for the overthrow of the political class accompanied their movement through the capital.
At the end, participants announced that they would gather again on Wednesday, keeping alive a protest that is stretching over time but that so far has brought no visible political reaction from the institutions.
The 73rd protest confirmed that dissatisfaction with the government continues to be expressed in the streets, although there are no signs that the demands raised are receiving an institutional response.
Amid calls for resignation, a technical government and political change, the daily gathering on the boulevard remains a prolonged signal of distrust toward the political class as a whole.
