The fire in the “Lëndina e Madhe” area above the village of Sinicë in Devoll has been extinguished, while teams on the ground are continuing checks for the time being to prevent the return of hotspots. According to official data, no further spread of the flames has been reported in the forested area.
The situation appears stabilized
The official version speaks of a normalized situation in the area affected by the fire. The flames have been put out and so far there are no reports of any further expansion of the burned perimeter.
Despite this, keeping the area under observation shows that the risk is not considered fully closed, especially in forest terrain where the reactivation of hotspots remains a real possibility.
18 personnel and 2 vehicles on the ground
According to the authorities, 11 firefighting personnel with 2 vehicles, as well as 7 employees of the forestry service, have been deployed in the area.
These teams are checking the area affected by the fire, with a focus on identifying any possible hotspot that could reactivate.
Monitoring continues even after the flames were extinguished
Although the situation is reported as calm, the responsible structures are keeping the area under continuous monitoring.
This is usually the point at which institutions report normalization, while the real test remains whether field control will be enough to prevent new ignitions in the hours ahead.
So far, there is no data on any new spread of the fire in “Lëndina e Madhe”.
The area above Sinicë remains under supervision by fire and forestry services.
