Official announcement: the fire perimeter has been isolated

According to the authorities, following the intervention of forces on the ground, full control of the fire and isolation of the entire affected perimeter were achieved.

The focus of local structures has now shifted to continuous supervision of the area, to prevent the return of flames from any hidden hotspot.

The situation eased in the early morning hours

It is reported that during the early morning hours the intensity of the flames decreased, creating more favorable conditions for the continuation of the operation on the ground.

This phase was used for the full isolation of the perimeter, in a forested area where the risk of the fire spreading usually remains high even after the flames have been curbed.

Dozens of personnel and vehicles on the ground

In the Drenie-Lofkënd-Ngraçije forest economy area, 30 troops from the Armed Forces, 10 Municipal Police officers, 15 employees of the Public Services Enterprise, and 5 Fire Protection and Rescue Service personnel were deployed, supported by one fire engine.

Meanwhile, in the direction of the Gjinoqar forest economy, the Patos Fire Protection and Rescue Service operated with two vehicles and 10 personnel.

Why monitoring remains crucial

Although the fire is considered isolated, the decision itself to maintain uninterrupted monitoring shows that the affected terrain still requires operational attention.

In such cases, the reactivation of hotspots remains a real risk, especially in forested areas and under conditions that favor reignition.

For the moment, the official toll speaks of full isolation of the fire and continued supervision of the affected perimeter in Mallakastër and Patos.
