This time, members of the diaspora also joined the gathering, a participation that had been announced for weeks by organizers and protesters.

The gathering continues for the 76th day

Protesters once again gathered in front of the Prime Minister’s Office building, turning the protest into a prolonged action which, according to participants, aims to maintain political pressure in central Tirana.

Since it began, the protest has been accompanied by calls for the head of government to resign and by general accusations against the political class, shifting discontent not only toward the executive, but toward the entire political system.

Diaspora in the square after protesters’ calls

The latest gathering also saw participation from the diaspora, following repeated calls that protesters had been making for weeks.

Their presence was presented by organizers as support for the protest’s cause, at a time when the gathering is trying to maintain momentum and public attention after more than two months.

Strong messages outside the Prime Minister’s office

During speeches delivered beneath the window of the Prime Minister’s office, one protester declared that “Politicians have never felt the pain of Albanians.”

This was one of the most direct messages of the evening, summarizing the tone of anger being articulated in this series of protests against the government and politics as a whole.

March through the capital’s streets until around midnight

After the speeches outside the Prime Minister’s Office, protesters continued with a march through the streets of Tirana.

The gathering ended around midnight, amid chants against politics, maintaining the same line of opposition that has accompanied previous days of the protest.

The 76th protest confirmed the continuity of a gathering that has been taking place for weeks in the heart of the capital, with unchanged demands toward the government and the political class.

The participation of the diaspora added symbolic weight to the evening, while the main message remained the same: open opposition to the political elite in power and in opposition.
