Fire outbreaks in Dajt, Mirditë and Pukë have prompted increased deployment by the Armed Forces, with personnel, firefighting vehicles and aerial support. The official position of the Ministry of Defense insists that, despite operations on the ground, there is currently no danger to residential areas.

What the Ministry of Defense says

According to the Ministry of Defense, the situation is being continuously monitored in several parts of the country where fires have been reported, while operational teams are working to isolate and extinguish the fire outbreaks.

The institution says that in Dajt, Mirditë and Pukë there is no danger to homes, an assessment that comes as additional forces and aircraft have been deployed on the ground.

Operation on Mount Dajt

On Mount Dajt, according to the official statement, operational forces continue their work, supported by 50 Armed Forces personnel and 2 Air Force helicopters.

The Ministry claims that there is currently no danger to residential areas, while the operation remains focused on isolating the fire outbreaks.

Response in Mirditë

In Lufaj, Mirditë, structures on the ground are working with 2 Armed Forces firefighting vehicles and 9 personnel.

According to the official version, the fire outbreak does not pose a danger to homes, although the operation is continuing and the situation remains under observation.

40 personnel also in Pukë

In Fushë-Lajë, Pukë, the operation is being carried out with the deployment of 40 Armed Forces personnel.

For this area as well, the Ministry of Defense says there is no danger to residential areas, while the focus remains on isolating and extinguishing the fire.

The balance made public so far is based on statements from the institutions, which present the situation as under control in all three areas.

However, the very scale of the deployment, with dozens of personnel, firefighting vehicles and helicopters, shows that operations on the ground remain serious.
