Monika Kryemadhi appeared before the media after reporting to SPAK with a statement dominated by irony, while also responding to the insinuations made earlier by Sali Berisha about what he called a “mini-maternity ward” inside the institution.

Kryemadhi’s response after leaving SPAK

In her remarks to reporters, Kryemadhi kept the joking tone that often accompanies her public appearances and addressed the PD leader’s statement about pregnancies allegedly being used, in his version, as a way to avoid arrest measures.

She gave an ironic response, saying: “I guarantee you that I’m not getting pregnant, I can tell you that.”

What Berisha had said

Earlier, Sali Berisha had suggested that female officials or former female government officials were trying to avoid arrest measures through pregnancy, using the expression “mini-maternity ward” at SPAK.

This is a political claim made publicly, with no new elements presented in this statement to support it beyond the level of a political accusation.

Between irony and insinuations

Kryemadhi did not completely rule out the possibility that procedural mechanisms may circulate in politics to escape legal consequences, but chose to express this in an ambiguous and double-edged formulation.

“Of course, for people to find different procedural ways and routes, they may be rumors, but also true,” she said.

A comment that shifts the debate

In the end, Kryemadhi closed with another quip, shifting the discussion to birth rates and population decline.

“Every time a baby comes into life it is a very good thing, it is one more citizen for Albania at a time when the country is being depopulated,” she said.

Her statement keeps the debate on the ground of political irony, while the issue raised publicly remains at the level of insinuations and verbal clashes between political figures.

In the absence of new facts, SPAK is once again mentioned as a stage for political rhetoric, as much as for investigations that are expected to speak with evidence and not with quips.
