Three wildfire fronts remain active in Dibër County, with the main concern focused on Lurë, where a perimeter of flames is located near homes. According to the official version, the situation appeared calmer in the early morning hours, but high daytime temperatures could quickly change conditions in favor of the fire’s spread.

Lurë, the most sensitive point of the situation
The main fire front is in Lurë National Park. During the night, according to authorities, the fire saw limited development in three directions: from Gura e Lurës, from Fushë-Lura, and above the village of Borie Lurë.
One of the fire fronts is developing in a perimeter near homes, although no expansion has been reported so far. Despite that assessment, fears remain that rising temperatures could make the situation harder to keep under control.
Dozens of personnel on the ground, also awaiting aerial intervention
In Lurë, 180 personnel have been deployed from the municipality, the fire service, forest services, ADZM and volunteers. The operation also includes 15 officers from the State Police and 30 members of the Armed Forces.
According to the official announcement, two Air Tractor aircraft are also expected to be involved in the operation, an element showing that authorities consider the fire front in this area to be at high risk of spreading.
Active fire front also in Qafë Helmës
Another fire focus remains active in Qafë Helmës, in the territory of the Fushë-Bulqizë-Selishtë unit. The flames are developing in two directions, from Fushë-Bulqiza and from the side of the village of Kacni.
Limited developments were reported during the night, but authorities warn that higher temperatures could favor the spread into the high beech forests. In this area, 11 fire service personnel, 5 members of the Selishtë unit and 8 volunteers have been deployed, while the operation is expected to rely mainly on monitoring.
Risk of spreading toward Mat
An active fire front also remains on the side of the village of Lufi, in the direction of Mirdita. During the night, the fire was also reactivated near the border area, increasing uncertainty over its line of spread.
According to the authorities’ assessment, the flames are around 200 meters from the section where it joins with Bruç and, if the spread continues, the fire could pass into the territory of Mat Municipality. On the ground, 6 fire service personnel, one fire engine, 5 unit members and 5 volunteers have been deployed.
For the moment, the course of the three fire fronts remains closely tied to temperatures and terrain conditions, factors that usually make intervention more difficult than the official morning assessments suggest.
In all three areas, authorities are relying on monitoring and ground forces to contain the further spread of the flames.
