Pafos started better, Dinamo responded cautiously

The Cypriot side looked more assertive in the opening minutes, taking the initiative on the pitch, but without truly putting Teqja’s goal under real pressure.

Dinamo sent its warning in the 23rd minute, when a cross from Malomo created a dangerous moment in the Pafos area, although the goalkeeper controlled the ball at the second attempt.

Missed penalty and alarm for the home side before the break

Pafos went close again in the 30th minute, when David Luiz tried with a header, but Teqja reacted by pushing the ball over the bar.

Shortly afterward, uncertainty in Dinamo’s defense gave Ioanou a chance to try his luck on goal, but he failed to find the target.

The most difficult moment for Ilir Daja’s team came in the 36th minute, when Pafos won a penalty. David Luiz took the kick from the spot, but sent the ball wide, leaving the score unchanged at 0-0 until the end of the first half.

Disallowed goal, Dinamo lead and immediate response

In the second half, Pafos found the net in the 71st minute through Lele, but the goal was ruled out for a foul detected during the move.

As the match entered its decisive phase, Dinamo managed to take the lead through Fadairo, sparking celebrations in the stands at Elbasan Arena.

However, the advantage lasted only four minutes. Pafos equalized at 1-1, again through Lele, this time from the penalty spot, restoring parity at a critical moment in the match.

The decision is postponed until the return leg

The remaining minutes brought no change to the score, with both teams ending the evening without a winner.

The 1-1 draw leaves the race for qualification completely open, while Dinamo will have to seek more accuracy and composure in the return leg to keep its European objective alive.

Dinamo got a result that does not put it out of contention, but the way the draw came about leaves mixed feelings for the Albanian team.

After 90 minutes at Elbasan Arena, nothing has been decided and the playoff verdict will be delivered in the second leg.
