A powerful explosion at a fuel station in the Brryl area of Tirana has placed several people linked to the business activity and the moment of refueling under investigation. Police have taken four people in for questioning, while the official preliminary version points to a gas leak on the station premises.

According to the information made public, those taken to the police station were the driver of the vehicle that was being supplied with gas at the moment of the explosion, the manager, the administrator, and the technical director of the fuel station.
The escorts were carried out as part of the investigation to clarify the circumstances of the incident and determine any possible responsibilities. At this stage, the authorities have not made any investigative conclusions public.

According to police, the initial suspicions are that the explosion happened while a vehicle was being refueled, while there had been a gas leak on the station premises.

Three workers injured, out of danger for their lives
Three fuel station workers were injured in the explosion. They were transported to the University Trauma Hospital for medical assistance.
According to the Health Ministry, the injured are in stable condition and out of danger for their lives.

In addition to the injured, the incident also caused considerable material damage at the fuel station.
