The wildfire situation remains problematic in several areas of the country, with institutions reporting 19 fire hotspots during the day and 10 still active. The Ministry of Defense describes a broad deployment of forces on the ground, but the map of hotspots shows pressure remains spread across several counties at the same time.
Daily toll and deployment reported by institutions
According to the Ministry of Defense, 19 wildfire hotspots were reported across the country during the day. Of these, 10 are still considered active, while another 9 are being kept under monitoring.
The official account says 316 local and regional operational personnel are engaged in operations to deal with the situation, together with 7 fire engines. The Armed Forces, according to the same statement, are providing support with 130 personnel, 2 fire engines, 13 vehicles, 1 ambulance and 1 drone.
Tirana and Dibër among the most sensitive points
In Tirana County, the hotspot on Mount Dajti remains active. On the ground, 25 firefighters, 7 ADZM personnel and 52 Armed Forces personnel have been deployed, supported by 6 vehicles and 1 ambulance. Institutions say there is currently no danger to inhabited areas.
In the same county, the hotspots on Mount Bërzhita and at Mali me Gropa have been isolated and are being kept under monitoring.
In Dibër County, the hotspots in Lundre–Madhesh, Cerrujë–Mali i Allushit, Selishtë and Pleshë remain active. Qafa e Helmes is under monitoring. According to the authorities, local forces, firefighters, forestry services and volunteers are working on the ground, while no danger to inhabited areas has been reported.
Lezhë, Shkodër and Fier still have open hotspots
In Lezhë, the hotspot in the Kalivaç–Zimaj–Rras i Butë–Ungrej area remains active. According to the official report, local forces and 41 Armed Forces personnel have been deployed there, with 1 fire engine and 4 military vehicles. Institutions say there is no danger to homes, while the hotspot in Gallatë, Kurbin, is being kept under monitoring.
In Shkodër County, the hotspots in Porav, Mnelë e Madhe and Rragam remain active. Tërbuni is under monitoring. For Rragam, authorities report the engagement of the Fire Protection and Rescue Service, the Forestry Service, municipal forces and Civil Emergencies, with no immediate danger to inhabited areas.
In Fier, Peshtan is under monitoring, while the hotspot in Çërrilë, Mallakastër, remains active. There, alongside local structures, 32 Armed Forces personnel and 3 military vehicles have also been deployed.
Under monitoring in Elbasan and Korçë, coordination remains under test
In Elbasan, the hotspots in Qukës and Gurëshpatë are reported to be under monitoring. In Korçë County as well, the hotspot near Opar is being kept under control and, according to authorities, does not threaten homes.
The National Civil Protection Agency says it is monitoring the situation across the country in coordination with prefectures, municipalities and other civil protection structures. However, the fact that 10 hotspots remain active shows that the situation on the ground continues to require a sustained response and real capacity, not only numerical tallies.
The priority declared by institutions remains the protection of lives, homes and citizens’ property, while operations continue in the counties where the fires have not yet been extinguished.
For the moment, according to official reports, there are no inhabited areas directly threatened, but the spread of hotspots across several counties keeps the situation at a high level of alert.
