The weather is expected to change over the weekend, with rainfall returning across most of the territory, increasing cloud cover and episodes of thunderstorms in some areas. Clouds and rain across most of the country
According to the weather forecast, the change in conditions will begin from the afternoon, with increasing cloud cover initially in the north and west along mountainous areas.
Later, during the evening, cloud cover is expected to spread across the whole country, while rainfall is forecast to be local and short-lived at first.
Saturday brings rain to almost the entire territory
For Saturday, alternating clear spells with moderate to dense cloud cover are expected, while rainfall, according to the forecast, will be present from the early hours and continue through the day.
In eastern areas, thunderstorms and lightning are expected at times, while hail is also possible in mountainous terrain.
Sunday remains unstable, temporary improvement on Monday
On Sunday, the weather is forecast to remain unstable, with rainfall especially in the south of the country.
According to this forecast, Monday will bring temporary stabilisation, but a further deterioration in atmospheric conditions is expected again from Tuesday.
Winds strengthen, temperatures begin to fall
During the weekend, winds are expected to reach speeds of around 8 metres per second, while in mountainous terrain and along the coast they may go up to 16 metres per second.
In mountainous areas, minimum temperatures are expected to drop to 13 degrees, while maximums will not exceed 30 degrees. In lowland areas, they will range from 19 to 34 degrees, while along the coast from 22 to 34 degrees.
From Sunday, a further but temporary drop in temperatures is expected, with values ranging from 12 to 32 degrees.
The forecast signals a more unstable weekend than in recent days, with rain, wind and fluctuating temperatures in several counties.
For mountainous areas and those exposed to thunderstorms, weather conditions are expected to be more problematic, especially during periods of intense rainfall and hail.
