A serious incident has come to light in Roskovec, where a 34-year-old woman claims she was abducted, raped and held under threat for 45 days by a 52-year-old man. The case becomes even more sensitive because, in the woman’s public testimony, it is mentioned that the suspect is the uncle of Socialist MP Zegjine Çaushi, an element that increases the need for full institutional clarification and an investigation free from influence.
The attack after the protective order was broken
According to information made public, the incident took another turn a day earlier, when the 52-year-old allegedly violated the protective order and went to the home of the 34-year-old woman, Merita Gremaj. There, according to the reported version, he wounded her father with a sickle.
This episode raises serious questions about the effectiveness of protective measures and the response of the responsible structures, since the protective order itself was supposed to serve precisely to prevent such an escalation.
The 34-year-old woman’s testimony: “He promised me a job, then took me by deception”
In her public account, the 34-year-old says everything began after the 52-year-old had promised her a job, presenting himself as a person with connections and ties to “big bosses.” She then claims she was taken by deception, under the pretext that she would be sent for medical help.
According to her testimony, he falsely presented the situation and took her away from her family by telling her father that an ambulance was taking her. The woman claims she was not taken to Tirana, but to Levan, where she says she was raped and then moved to other places under his control.
The claim of 45 days of violence and death threats
The 34-year-old states that for 45 days she was held against her will, sexually and physically abused, and continuously threatened so that she would not speak. In her testimony, she describes a state of isolation, fear and complete dependence on the suspect.
She claims she was threatened with death if she revealed what was happening, and she also described other disturbing episodes, including being taken near cemeteries and being kept in the home of the 52-year-old’s relatives.
