According to the order signed by the prime minister, the administrative powers of the director of the State Intelligence Service have been temporarily transferred to Elvis Lila.
Lila serves as director of the Operational Department and, according to the official version, will exercise this role until the appointment of the institution’s new head.

This development comes one day after Vlora Hyseni’s departure from the post of SHISH director, a move that immediately opened the phase of temporary command at one of the country’s most sensitive security institutions.

The order has entered into force
According to the document, the delegation takes effect immediately and will last until the appointment of the new SHISH director.
The decision was also taken in implementation of the Constitution and the legislation in force on the administration and the State Intelligence Service.

The prime minister’s order has also been published in the Official Gazette, giving it full legal force for the immediate implementation of the delegation.
For the moment, the main political and institutional question remains unanswered: who will be the name proposed for the permanent leadership of SHISH.
