An explosive device detonated at around 05:00 in Fllakë, Durrës, damaging the door of a bar that, according to police, was used by a father and son. So far, only material damage has been reported, while the circumstances and those responsible remain unclear.
The explosion occurred at the entrance to the bar
The incident was recorded in the early hours of the morning in the village of Fllakë. According to preliminary police data, a small quantity of explosive material is suspected to have detonated at the door of a bar.
At the time of the explosion, the bar had been closed and the consequences were limited to material damage. No injuries have been reported.
The bar was used by a father and son
According to the official version, the premises were being used by Ramazan Balla and Erjon Balla, father and son.
From the first checks carried out by police, they do not appear to be people with criminal records. At this stage, no other element has been made public about the leads being examined.
Police: work is under way to identify the perpetrator
The official statement said police services and the investigative team went to the scene, where they are carrying out actions to document the circumstances of the incident.
According to police, the investigation is focused on identifying and apprehending the perpetrator or perpetrators, while so far there is no official information about any person being escorted or suspected.
The case remains at the preliminary verification stage, while the public information so far is limited to the material damage and the police announcement that the investigation is continuing.
Beyond the standard formula from the authorities about a “full clarification,” there is still no explanation of how the explosive material was placed and what the target of the attack was.
