The demonstration held outside the Assembly of Kosovo escalated, as clashes between police forces and protesters continued on the ground.
Reports from the scene described a tense situation, with police intervention as the protest intensified.
Haradinaj comes out of the Assembly
Amid the tension outside the building, Ramush Haradinaj came out of the Assembly and tried to speak with the protesters.
His move came at a time when the situation was already highly charged and crowd control was being accompanied by clashes.
PDK: Responsibility lies with those in power
PDK lawmaker Blerta Deliu reacted to the events by shifting responsibility away from the Kosovo Police and toward the institutions that, according to her, issued the orders.
According to Deliu, the police are carrying out duties imposed by the state apparatus, while her criticism focused on how the government is handling the situation on the ground.
Claims of injuries and political tension
Deliu said the hospital in Kosovo has filled up with protesters, using this as a political accusation against the way the institutions responded.
She said the Kosovo Police do not bear direct responsibility for the consequences because, according to her version, they are carrying out a task unfairly assigned by the state apparatus.
The incident once again highlighted the clash between the police response and political responsibility for managing the protests.
Up to this stage, public statements have come mainly from political actors, while the burden of responsibility is being shifted from one institution to another.
