The protest returned near the work site
Citizens gathered again this Saturday in front of the site where the Jewish Museum is planned to be built in Vlora. Opposition to the project is not new, and the protest follows repeated reactions calling for the intervention in that area to be stopped.
At the center of the opposition remains the continuation of the works themselves, while on the ground there was a direct confrontation between protesters and the police presence guarding the construction site perimeter.
Physical clashes occurred near the surrounding fence
During the protest, some of the participants clashed physically near the fence surrounding the work area. According to footage and the version reported from the scene, some protesters tried to bring down the construction site barrier.
The situation escalated precisely at the point where the dividing barrier had been placed between the citizens and the space where the project will be carried out.

Police forces intervened to prevent protesters from approaching the work area. Their presence on the ground was accompanied by pushing and physical contact between the sides.
