After a temporary dispersal, protesters returned once again in front of the Prime Minister’s Office building, continuing the gathering with harsh political chants and tensions over the police presence.

The group of protesters gathered again in front of the Prime Minister’s Office just a few minutes after it had dispersed. Their return pushed the protest into another phase of tension at one of the most sensitive institutional sites in Tirana.
Political chants continued at the scene, while the protest remained focused in front of the government building.
Chants against Rama and Berisha
During the gathering, slogans were heard against Prime Minister Edi Rama and Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha.
The chant that dominated among the protesters was: “Rama to prison, Berisha to prison,” directing the protest against the two main figures of Albanian politics.
Clashes with police near the Prime Minister’s Office
Tensions increased when protesters sought to remain in front of the Prime Minister’s Office building. It was at this stage that clashes occurred with police officers deployed in the area.
