A fast and organized robbery has put a second-tier bank in the Komuna e Parisit area of Tirana on alert. According to the information available so far, the masked and armed perpetrator needed about 3 minutes to take the money from the cash desk and leave the scene.

The perpetrator is suspected of having known the premises well
From the security camera footage, which has now been obtained by investigators, suspicion has arisen that the unidentified perpetrator was well familiar with the bank’s layout and the way it operated.
This element raises questions about the level of information the robber had before entering the bank, while the investigation remains focused on identifying him and on how the act was prepared.
How the robbery unfolded in just a few minutes
According to the version reported so far, as soon as he entered the bank premises, the perpetrator was masked with a helmet and had a pistol in his hand. He threatened the guard and isolated him in the rear part of the bank.
He then jumped over the cashier counter and took the money that was in the drawer. According to the bank, the amount taken reaches about €60,000.
Escape by electric scooter and security gaps
After the robbery, the perpetrator left the area on an electric scooter, without encountering obstacles and without injuring anyone. The fact that an armed person enters, acts and leaves within a few minutes once again raises questions about the concrete security measures in these institutions.
So far there is no public information about anyone being detained, while it remains unclear whether the perpetrator acted alone or had logistical support outside the bank.
Police have set up an investigative team
Tirana Police have set up an investigative team and, according to the official version, are working in several directions to identify and arrest the robber.
For the moment, the authorities have not made the perpetrator’s identity public, nor other details that could help fully explain how the robbery was carried out.
The incident once again draws attention to the vulnerability of financial points even in populated areas of the capital, especially when an armed robbery is carried out within a few minutes.
Beyond the routine notice about investigations, questions remain unanswered about the level of security at the bank and about how the perpetrator managed to leave without being stopped.
