A fire near Narta Lagoon, in the Zvërnec area, put at risk not only a small building but also the nearby pine forest. According to preliminary information, the flames broke out in a structure used to store fishing materials.

Flames in a building near the channel connected to the sea
The incident was recorded at midday, in the area where the Narta Lagoon channel connects to the sea. The small building had been engulfed by fire about 30 minutes before the authorities arrived at the scene.
The structure served as a storage facility for fishing materials, while the flames immediately raised concerns about spreading to the surrounding area.
Risk to the pine forest
The most sensitive aspect of the incident was its proximity to the pine forest, which according to the official version was at risk from the spread of the fire.
Vlora fire services intervened at the scene and, according to them, managed to bring the situation under control before the flames entered the forest massif near the building.
Preliminary suspicion of an electrical spark
According to the fire service, the first suspicion is linked to an electrical spark as a possible cause of the fire.
However, the full causes and circumstances still remain to be clarified, while so far only material damage has been reported.
At the moment, there are no reports of any injured people.
It remains to be seen whether the checks will confirm the preliminary version on the origin of the flames.
