A new wave of changes in the top ranks of the State Police has affected several local directorates and central structures. According to the official announcement, the changes include appointments and transfers in Elbasan, Berat, Korçë and the General Directorate of the State Police.
Skënderaj at the head of Elbasan Local Police Directorate
First Director Kastriot Skënderaj has been appointed director of the Elbasan Local Police Directorate. He replaces Fatmir Hoxha in this post.
Fatmir Hoxha has been moved from the position of director of the Elbasan Local Police Directorate and has been appointed specialist in the Directorate for Integration, under the General Directorate of the State Police.
Reshuffle between Berat and Korçë
Changes have also been made in Berat and Korçë. Luigj Vathi, who held the post of director of the Berat Local Police Directorate, has been appointed director of the Korçë Local Directorate for Border and Migration.
On the other hand, Gëzim Zhupaj has been removed from the post of director of the Korçë Local Directorate for Border and Migration and has been appointed sector chief in the Department for Public Order and Security at the General Directorate of the State Police.
Moves also from Tirana to central structures
Another transfer also affects Tirana. Chief Commissioner Dashnor Muhaj has been moved from the post of deputy director for Public Order and Security at the Tirana Local Police Directorate.
According to the official version, he has been appointed specialist for Irregular Migration in the Department for Border and Migration at the General Directorate of the State Police.
Changes affecting several levels of leadership
The package of changes affects not only local directors, but also posts in the central structures of the State Police. The focus is on Elbasan, Berat and Korçë, while some officials have been moved to departments of the General Directorate.
